Clear and transparent terms help ensure that every tree care project proceeds safely, efficiently, and with mutual understanding between Cascade Tree Care and our clients. These Terms and Conditions outline the responsibilities, expectations, and operational guidelines that apply when scheduling or receiving tree care services from our team.

Cascade Tree Care provides professional arborist services to residential and commercial customers in Bellevue, Washington, and surrounding communities, including Bothell, Kirkland, Redmond, and nearby areas. Our services range from routine tree trimming and pruning to complex removals and stump grinding. Because tree work involves specialized equipment, environmental conditions, and property considerations, clear service agreements are essential for both safety and accountability.

The following terms govern how services are scheduled, performed, billed, and supported after completion.

SECTION 1 – SCOPE OF TREE CARE SERVICES

1.1 Description of Services

Cascade Tree Care provides professional arborist and tree maintenance services, including but not limited to:

Tree trimming.
Tree pruning.
Tree cutting.
Tree removal.
Stump grinding and stump removal.
Canopy raising and thinning.
Deadwood removal.
Shrub and hedge pruning.
Fruit tree pruning.

The exact scope of work for each project will be outlined in the written estimate, proposal, or service agreement provided to the client prior to the commencement of work.

1.2 Estimates and Site Assessments

Estimates are prepared based on visible site conditions at the time of inspection. Tree health, structural stability, property layout, and accessibility are evaluated to determine the safest and most appropriate service approach.

If previously hidden conditions are identified during service, such as internal decay, structural instability, underground obstacles, or access limitations, the scope of work may require adjustment. In such cases, the client will be notified before additional work proceeds.

1.3 Services Not Included

Unless explicitly stated in writing, Cascade Tree Care services do not include:

Landscape restoration after tree removal.
Construction or structural work on buildings or fences.
Underground utility relocation.
Land grading or excavation beyond stump grinding.
Removal of debris unrelated to the tree service project.
Repairs to existing landscape features not directly impacted by service operations.

SECTION 2 – PROJECT SCHEDULING AND OPERATIONS

2.1 Service Scheduling

Once an estimate or service proposal is approved, Cascade Tree Care will coordinate scheduling based on crew availability, project complexity, and operational conditions.

Scheduled service dates may be subject to adjustment depending on weather conditions, equipment availability, emergency service requests, or other operational considerations common to arborist work.

2.2 Weather and Safety Conditions

Tree work is highly dependent on safe weather and site conditions. High winds, storms, heavy rainfall, or hazardous ground conditions may require the postponement or rescheduling of services.

Cascade Tree Care prioritizes crew safety, property protection, and industry safety standards when determining whether work can proceed.

2.3 Access to Work Areas

Clients agree to provide reasonable and safe access to the work area, including space for equipment, trucks, and necessary rigging operations.

Prior to service, clients may be asked to:

Limited access or obstructions may delay service or require adjustments to the scope of work.

2.4 Underground Utilities and Site Information

Clients are responsible for informing Cascade Tree Care of any known underground utilities, irrigation systems, septic systems, or buried structures in areas where stump grinding or root removal will occur.

While reasonable precautions are taken, Cascade Tree Care cannot be held responsible for damage to utilities or systems that were not disclosed or visibly identifiable prior to service.

SECTION 3 – TREE REMOVAL AND PROPERTY CONSIDERATIONS

3.1 Tree Removal Operations

Tree removal is a complex process that may involve climbing, rigging, controlled cutting techniques, and heavy equipment, depending on the size and location of the tree.

Cascade Tree Care determines the safest removal method based on site conditions, tree health, surrounding structures, and environmental considerations.

3.2 Debris Handling

Unless otherwise stated in the estimate, tree debris generated during service will be removed from the site or processed as agreed in the service proposal.

Options may include hauling debris away, cutting wood into manageable sections, or leaving firewood when requested by the client.

3.3 Stump Grinding

Stump grinding removes the visible stump portion of a tree and grinds it below ground level using specialized equipment.

Grinding depth and final grading may vary depending on soil conditions, root structure, and surrounding landscape features.

Stump grinding typically does not include the complete removal of the entire root system unless specifically stated in the project agreement.

SECTION 4 – PAYMENT TERMS

4.1 Service Payments

Payment terms for tree care services will be outlined within the written estimate or service agreement.

Depending on the project scope, a deposit may be required prior to scheduling services, with the remaining balance due upon completion of the agreed work unless otherwise stated.

4.2 Additional Work

If additional services become necessary during a project, such as addressing structural decay, storm damage, or previously concealed hazards, Cascade Tree Care will communicate with the client before performing work outside the original scope.

Any approved additional services may be reflected in an updated invoice or written change order.

4.3 Late or Unpaid Balances

Cascade Tree Care reserves the right to pursue appropriate collection procedures for unpaid invoices, including suspension of future services until outstanding balances are resolved.

SECTION 5 – INSURANCE AND LIABILITY

5.1 Insurance Coverage

Cascade Tree Care maintains appropriate insurance coverage for tree service operations to protect both our employees and our clients during project execution.

5.2 Property Protection

Tree service work involves heavy equipment, falling limbs, and natural materials. Our crews take reasonable precautions to protect surrounding structures, landscaping, and property features during operations.

In the unlikely event that damage occurs directly due to our service activities, Cascade Tree Care will work with the client to address the situation in a responsible and timely manner.

5.3 Pre-Existing Conditions

Cascade Tree Care cannot be held responsible for damage resulting from pre-existing conditions, such as:

SECTION 6 – WARRANTIES AND SERVICE SUPPORT

6.1 Workmanship

Tree trimming, pruning, and removal services are performed in accordance with accepted arboricultural practices and using professional equipment.

Because trees are living organisms affected by weather, soil conditions, pests, and disease, Cascade Tree Care cannot guarantee long-term tree health outcomes beyond the scope of the service provided.

6.2 Post-Service Questions

Clients are encouraged to contact Cascade Tree Care with questions about completed services, tree care maintenance, or follow-up support related to work performed on their property.

Our team remains available to assist with ongoing tree health assessments and future service needs.

SECTION 7 – CLIENT RESPONSIBILITIES

Clients agree to:

Provide accurate property and tree information when requesting service.
Allow safe and reasonable access for tree care equipment and crews.
Notify Cascade Tree Care of known hazards, underground systems, or property concerns.
Follow safety recommendations provided by arborists during service operations.

Failure to meet these responsibilities may affect scheduling, service execution, or project completion timelines.

SECTION 8 – ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

By scheduling services, approving an estimate, or permitting work to begin on the property, the client acknowledges that they have read and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
